Five ways to take better care of your skin

Taking regular care of your skin - regularly washing, moisturising and monitoring your diet can all help enhance your complexion and reduce a vast number of skin problems. Regularly making time for these practices can quickly improve your skin's condition, leaving you feeling healthy and refreshed. 1. Wash your face regularly: Of all these practices, the simplest technique is probably the most practical. Although it is often not visible, our skin is constantly exposed to dirt and grime causing the pores to become blocked and reducing the skin's ability to breathe healthily. Washing your face on a regular basis (around twice a day) can help protect the skin from the daily build up of dirt and unclog the pores. 2. Exfoliate: Why is it important to exfoliate? Even though washing your face regularly will get rid of most of the dirt, often small amounts of dirt remain trapped within the pores. Clogged up pores means dry, dehydrated skin that most moisturisers can't take care of. By simply taking the time to exfoliate regularly you will begin to see a huge difference to your skin's health. 3. Use skin products: Once your skin is washed and exfoliated, then it can begin to experience the benefits of the different products that are available. Start off with a moisturising cream to try and rehydrate your skin or Pro-Collagen Body Serum to increase the firmness of your skin. While it can be easy to become overwhelmed by the number of different skin products available, it's easy to start off with a few basics like a moisturiser and work from there. 4. Protect your face from the sun: Tans may be sexy, but the sun's ultraviolet light can also be harmful to your skin. If not protected, your skin can easily be subjected to wrinkles, dry skin problems and even more malignant problems. Wearing sunscreen and gradually letting your skin adapt to the summer sun can help save you from a lot of future problems. 5. Correct your diet: Our skin is like a mirror that reflects the quality of our diet. In order for your skin to look its best it's important to cut down on fatty, greasy foods, replacing it with a diet highly focussed on seeds, nuts, vegetables and fruits. While all of these tips may seem like a lot of extra hassle, in truth they are unlikely to put any strain on your current lifestyle. Taking the time to make these changes will see your skin looking more hydrated, rejuvenated and healthy. Jennifer Adams is a dedicated health fanatic and writes for a digital marketing company.
